RVDS Vertical Drilling System

The RVDS is specialized on the automated drilling of vertical boreholes ( 8 ½" – 26" diameter). It consists of two modules, each 1.5 m in length. Therefore, it is compatible with every standard Raise Bore unit. The system is integrated in the borehole assembly between drill bit and first stabilizer. During operation a turbine provides the system with self-sustaining energy. Integrated inclinometers constantly measure the deviation of the vertical borehole axis. Corrections will automatically be performed by four hydraulically extendable steering ribs.

Simultaneously, current drilling data is send by the RVDS to the surface equipment via mud pulse technology. For highly explosive areas, the surface equipment is also available in an ATEX certified version.

Directional Drilling Tools

BHA Equipment

Christensen mining bits are available for all kinds of mining and geotechnical drilling or coring applications. Examples are the raw material exploration or ground reconnaissance. German engineering, the use of high-grade materials and continuous product development
guarantee a maximum rate of penetration and superior wear resistance. Our mining bits are in operation worldwide and have proven on thousands of drill meters under roughest conditions. Oilfield Bits

MICON-Drilling oilfield bits are made for drilling under roughest conditions. The use of high-grade materials, German engineering and continuous product development guarantee a maximum rate of penetration and wear resistance. We supply steel and matrix body drill bits equipped with high quality cutter. The MICON Directional Series (MR) provides outstanding performance for directional drilling applications. For all other purposes our MICON Drilling Series (MD) bits are the tools of choice. The MICON Coring Series (MC) offers reliable and well established tools for your coring project. Beside our established product line ranging from 2" to 17 ½", we also manufacture customized drill bits according to customer‘s specifications. Core Barrels

MICON coring systems stand for high quality and guarantee the best possible core recovery. In this field we have decades of experience. Due to the continuous improvement of our systems, you can always rely on their steadiness.

MICON Drilling offers a wide range of heavy-duty core barrel types for the fields of mining, oil and gas, as well as geotechnical engineering. Beside wireline core barrels, we supply double- and single tube core barrels. Optional variants with liner, multi-drill system or core orientation system are available. All wireline core barrels are equipped with the flexible Christensen latching head which assures a secure locking in every situation.

Borehole Survey

The EMS (Electronic Multishot System) is specialized on the survey of drilled boreholes. The system is inserted into the borehole via a winch and automatically records up to 8142 measuring points, providing azimuth and inclination data. Back at the surface the collected data can be easily read out via USB port on a standard notebook.
